Quick Mount PV has appointed solar veteran Jeff Spies to head up its Business Development program. Before taking this position, Spies operated his own solar training and consulting firm and has developed training programs and partner networks for AEE Solar, Solar Industry International, groSolar, and others. Spies will head up Quick Mount PV's effort to work closely with the roofing industry in product and market development.

Quick Mount PV Plans Major Expansion to Meet Burgeoning Demand
To meet the burgeoning demand for its solar mounting products, Quick Mount PV has purchased a 133,000 sq. ft facility in Walnut Creek, California, and will move company headquarters to the new property mid first quarter 2012.

Quick Mount PV Training Approved for NABCEP CE Credits
For installers who are NABCEP certified, Quick Mount's "Code Compliant Roof Mounting & Waterproof Flashing" class has been approved for two hours of continuing education credit by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). NABCEP offers the industry's most respected professional installer certifications.
The training covers a range of subjects, from code compliance and waterproofing basics to effectively installing Quick Mount PV products and preserving roofing warranties. The class is given by Johan Alfsen, Quick Mount's International Training Manager.

GAF-Elk Roofing Approves Quick Mount PV Composition Mount
We are pleased to announce that GAF/Elk, the largest roofing manufacturer in North America, has issued a signed letter confirming that Quick Mount PV Composition Mounts are fully in compliance with their warranty:
"This will confirm that the Quick Mount PV composition roof mounts manufactured by Quick Mount PV are acceptable for use with GAF-Elk premium roofing products and will not void the GAF-Elk Smart Choice® shingle limited warranty."
